A&R celebrates Student-Athlete academic success

In December, Athletics & Recreation hosted the annual academic awards breakfast to recognize the incredible scholastic achievements of our student-athletes. Along with several campus partners, the event proudly celebrated the nearly 100 Lions who earned U SPORTS Academic All-Canadian honours.

This month’s Skills Clinics provided students with an opportunity to refresh key skills essential for university success, including study strategies, planning and time management. The sessions were designed and led by peer mentors and offered supportive, practical help for the busy midterm season.

This student-led initiative helps build skills, reduce stress and strengthen the community. Students felt more prepared, confident and connected, supporting retention, wellbeing and success.

The Eleanor Winters Art Gallery's current exhibition, the annual Black Student Showcase is on display from December to late January. Featuring amazing photography, fine art, and craft, the showcase highlights exceptional works by Black students on campus.
